More than 55,000 people, mostly in Africa and Asia, die from rabies every year - a rate of one person every ten minutes.3

Rabies Awareness for Livestock

Raccoons, skunks and foxes are the primary rabies transmitters in the US and cattle may encounter them while in the barn, corral or pasture.9 When infected, cattle can exhibit clinical signs that are easily confused with choke or other neurological disorders. The rabies compendium recommends that cattle that are transported to shows, used in petting zoos, or other exhibitions be vaccinated against rabies.12
